Privacy Policy

Thank you for using the iOS apps from Jade Lizard Software LLC ("we", "us"). This Privacy Policy applies to all of our apps. It explains what information is collected, how it is used and shared, how long it is kept, and the choices you have.

The short version

  • We do not collect personal data. Our apps have no accounts, and we do not run servers that receive your information.
  • What you enter in our apps stays on your device and is never sent to us or to Google.
  • Our apps show ads with Google AdMob and measure usage with Google Analytics for Firebase. These Google services collect device information, as described below, after asking for your consent where the law requires it.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

Information you enter

Anything you enter or record in our apps, such as names, dates, notes, scores, or health-related details, is stored only on your device (and on your other devices, such as an Apple Watch, when an app works with them). It is not sent to us or to Google, and it is not used for advertising or analytics. It leaves your device only if you choose to share it, for example with the iOS share sheet, and then only with the people or apps you choose. Like other app data, it is included in your own iCloud or computer backups, under Apple's terms.

If an app asks for access to something on your device, such as the camera, it is used only for the feature described in the request, and nothing is sent to us.

Information collected by Google services

Google AdMob shows ads in our apps. It may collect device identifiers (including the advertising identifier, IDFA, if you allow tracking), IP address and the approximate location it suggests, device type, operating system version, mobile network information, and information about the ads you see and interact with. It uses this to show ads, to personalize them if you allow it, to measure them, and to prevent fraud.

Google Analytics for Firebase helps us understand how our apps are used, for example the number of users, which screens are opened, session length, in-app purchase events, app version, and device information. This data is associated with an identifier for your device, so it is not anonymous, but it does not include your name, your contact details, or what you enter in our apps.

Both services may also collect crash and performance information about their own operation. Google processes this information under its own policies: see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps that use its services.

We use this information to improve our apps, to understand which features people use, and to show ads that keep our apps free.

Consent and your choices

  • Consent form. Where required (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland), our apps show Google's consent form before ads or analytics start.
  • Tracking. Personalized ads that use your advertising identifier are shown only if you allow tracking when iOS asks. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
  • Changing your mind. Where an app offers Privacy Options in its settings, you can review or withdraw your consent there at any time.
  • Removing ads. Where an app offers an in-app purchase to remove ads, buying it turns ads off.

Purchases

In-app purchases are handled by Apple. We never receive your payment details. Google Analytics may record that a purchase was made, including the product and price.

How long information is kept, and how to delete it

  • Information in our apps stays on your device until you delete it in the app or delete the app, which removes everything it stored on that device.
  • Information collected by Google is kept by Google according to its retention settings and policies. You can stop tracking, or reset your advertising identifier, in your iPhone's settings.
  • We do not hold copies of your data, so there is nothing on our side to delete. If you have a question about information Google collected through our apps, contact us and we will help.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including the European Economic Area, the UK, and California, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of personalized advertising. Under California law, showing personalized ads can count as "sharing" personal information even when nothing is sold; you can opt out with the tracking and consent choices above. Where we rely on your consent (for ads and analytics), you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what happened before. To make a request, email us at the address below. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Our apps may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content, so please review their privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date. Please check it periodically.
